MODIFYING SOUNDING DATA

By default, MetCentre uses the forecast temperature and the average mixing ratio from the dew point to calculate the sounding. You can override this by choosing your own temperature, dewpoint and pressure and selecting “replot” underneath the forecast sounding.
Changing Times

You can select different runs and times at the bottom of the sounding, including quicklinks to go forward or backwards by 3, 6 or 24 hours.
Changing Models & Obtaining Hodographs
You can select a different models to compare by selecting a different model. Note that this features relies on the data being available in the other models – for example an ACCESS C sounding outside the domain of ACCESS will not work. Similarly, a +384hr sounding on ACCESS G will also not work as ACCESS G only provides forecasts to +240 hours.

Hodographs are also available and can be obtained by selecting the hodograph box and pressing “new sounding”
